PLEASE NEED YOUR HELP/ADVICE FAST New Car - Maybe?
Hi All -
I have been a member for a long time and owned several 4th gen Fbodies. I do not own one currently but have the opportunity to get a 98 Pontiac Formula WS6 6-speed. It is black however I wanted to get your opinion on the interior. It is one that I have never seen before - its is taupe/tan cloth (almost 2 tone with the graphite interior pieces). I cannot tell if I like it or not. What is the general opinion on this interior - I am really curious to get some feedback from others.
Here is a video as well:

I like it, but who cares? If you like it...that’s all that matters.

Only 15K miles? You won't find many of those in any model year. I'd snap it up. It does have an aftermarket exhaust on it though. Any other mods?

I really like the cloth interior and prefer it over leather. My T/A has taupe both inside and on the 'vert top. Unfortunately $22k is way too high of a price IMO and I tend to overprice these ultra low mileage cars. I really feel they are underpriced overall, but $22k should be reserved for one owner near mint 'stock' examples with under 10,000 miles. I would probably pay upper teens as top dollar if I personally really LOVED the car. That's up to you of course and how much they will negotiate. Certainly a slow time of year for car sales so definitely try. Good luck!!

Fortunately for you I don't think this car is going anywhere anytime soon at that price..if you noticed the youtube video was posted on August 7th 2017...so its been for sale for a year and a half. I could see it fetching $22k if it was 100% bone stock with 4 digit mileage. But if it has been modified with a "top end kit" or whatever then that's kind of a stretch (eventhough it sounds like it's got a stock cam) and unfortunately an aftermarket catback instead of the super rare 98 only single 3.5" catback. My only gripe would be the price, the car itself looks very clean, near perfect paint with 15k miles and being a very rare formula WS6 is awesome regardless of interior color, but it's hard to justify paying that kind of money.

Its likely then that it (and the cat-back) was installed at Lingenfelter's shop in Decatur, IN. They know their stuff there, and this could add a few grand in value to the right buyer. I'd offer them $18K. 6-speeds were hard to come by in '98. Its possible this car was at LPE around the same time they were building the rare Hurst/LPE WS6s. When I purchased my WS6 from Courtesy in Decatur, one of the Hurst/LPE cars cruised through the lot checking out my car as I was inside doing the paperwork. Courtesy handled the sale of some (if not all) of those Hurst/LPE cars. My salesman was showing me pictures of a couple of them they had on their back lot waiting on pickup when my buddy called me to the window to check out the one cruising through the lot.

Super rare 6 speed Ram Air Formula with low miles. Thats more important than the color, which co-incidentally in this case is totally awesome with black paint and tan cloth. For $20k its still got a lot of high quality life ahead of it.
Today is the day you are back to loving it again. Hopefully for good.
