Unofficial Arctic White Firebird Formula Owner Thread
Thought I would offer up a place for owners of white Formulas to post a picture or two of their car, and discuss the modifications they've made to it. Hopefully over the years this post will resurrect from time to time, and a few of our cars surface.
Regards,
John

I just ordered a book called the Standard Catalog of Pontiac. I guess it's supposed to be a decent source of info, but we shall see. All I know now is that for 2002, 901 Formulas were produced. I would guess that no more than 20% of these were Arctic White, probably more like 15% or less. 15% of 901 is about 135. Assuming similar sales from 98 to 02 my guess would be about 135 x 4 or around 500 to 600 LS1 powered Arctic White Formulas. Hopefully the book will shead more light.

First off, sweet car, and like the color
You've pointed out the somewhat confusing semantics, nonetheless cars with the wing and TA ground effects don't qualify, sorry.

Here is mine:
http://www.cepheid.org/~kris/krisHMP.wmv
Lets see... what do I have done to the car...
Whisper Lid, K&N Filter
TSP 231/237 .598/.595 112+2 cam
1 7/8" Grotyohann Headers w/QTP ORy-pipe & Borla Catback
SPEC Stg 3 carbon clutch
Moser 9" w/4.11 gears & Posi
BADZ Billet Aluminum LCAs and PHR
Global West 2" Subframe Connectors
1LE Front Sway bar
HAL Adjustable Shocks all around w/stock cut springs (lowered approx 1.5-2 inches)
Harlan Shiftlight
Custom NX Dry kit w/42# injectors
Custom Walbro 340GSS 255lph Intank Pump Setup
Kirban Kwik-Stick Shifter
Custom 5-point roll bar
Hurst Roll Control Line Lock
The only real appearance modification I've done is 5% limo tint on all windows.
The video of my car at the track was with pretty much stock tuning, suspension COMPLETELY out of adjustment with tires too big for the track. My clutch was also slipping a little bit giving me problems trying to shift.
I have since broke the BMR Trak-Pak that was on the car and will be replacing it soon along with a new SPEC Stage 3i clutch assembly. The car should have some good mid 6 second passes in it through the 1/8th.

Let's include all the Arctic White Birds, those last few pics you guys posted sold me! Since I first posted I've have added a bit more power. Got AFR 205 Heads, 222-222 .581 .581 xer 115lsa cam, and a 2800 vig. Track times to come soon. Here is a dyno graph before and after the upgrade (note still running the stock manifolds, y-pipe and cats).
