Default hesitation problems

so out of the blue today, my car started hesitating really bad. I would put the car at half throttle and it would hesitate for about 2 seconds and then throw me back in my seat like i was stomping on it and then it would cut back and do it again. it started getting really annoying. does anyone have any idea of what it could be? need help please

Well, let's see, you don't mention what year your car is, what mods it has (if any), whether it's manual or automatic, what gear and RPMs this happens at, whether it's throwing any codes.... not going to be getting much specific advice that way

Here are a variety of hesitation-related threads for you to get possible ideas from:

sorry, my car is a 98 formula m6, lid, pacesetter lt's with true duals. this happens in every gear and at any rpm but i noticed it from idle (1000rpm's) to about 3000 rpm's and i cant tell if its throwing a code because im throwing a code for a coolant temp sensor that i havent been able to reset yet. then again this has happened once before and then quit and i drove it more tonight and it quit so i dont know what it could be

I have a very similar problem with a 99 Formula. Almost feels like the car is running out of fuel. However, if I accelerate hard, the car is fine so I know it's not a fuel filter.

Most likey that I've been able to deduce... plugs/wires, O2 sensors or MAFT

I had the same problem. From a stop at low RPM's it there would sometimes be a pronounced power loss, then all of a sudden it was gone and the car would run like a bat out of hell. I have LT's and true duals as well. My problem turned out to be a dead O2 sensor. I replaced both sides with some Bosch 13111's (@ $70 from Autozone each) just two days ago and so far so good. Prior to this I was using the stock sensors and extensions (with the 13111's you won't need any extensions).
