How do i remove the T-top holders from my car?

This is probably the wrong forum, but i just wanna know how to remove the t-top holders in my rear hatch area of my 98 Trans Am?

If you look, there are two holes in each holder, that is where the holders are bolted to the car just take an extension not for sure about the nut size and take the two nuts off and the holders will slide off the studs.

I wanna put a bigger sub box in the trunk, and i don't use them anyway, so i figure might as well take them out if it will free up room.

I was gonna do this but not for stereo crap. With the tops off i dont even have room for my what little tools i bring, i want to do a bag setup like my 88 camaro has. Anyone tried this?
