The a/c compressor runs off of it's own little belt. It is separate from the main serpentine belt that runs off the crank, power steering, and alternator. There won't be a need to buy a new serpentine belt.
If it were my car, I wouldn't remove the a/c system unless I was building a full-on race car.

I am taking mine off.
Gotta counteract the weight the iron block is bringing in.
The only thing I haven't figured out....Do I need the compressor up front for the radiator to mount properly?
