Default how rare is this color

hey guys, there is a guy that just moved in a few blocks over that has a 98-02 WS6 trans am that is yellow. I've never seen a yellow T/A before . Is this a rare color or has it probably just been re-painted? just curious. Thanks

if it has black wheels, and is a faded yellow, it is a 2002 CE trans am.

If it is not a faded yellow, then it is custom paint.

yeah, I know what a 2002 collectors edition looks like, but this one just has the WS6 badge on the right rear just below the tail light and no other badging what so ever. I think its a custom paint job.

is it like the one in this picture? if it isn't a collector's edition, than it is a custom paint job. the last year that yellow was offered on a trans am was either 93 or 94 (with the exception of the collectors edition, of course).

No yellows from the factory, unless that was ONE of a kind, and it was used IN that photo as well.

The one in that promo photo was custom

There was Jamaica Yellow in 1992, and Sunfire Yellow in 1993-1994, and of course Collector Yellow (same color as Sunfire) in 2002. Any other yellow F-bodies after 1989 have custom paint.
