It's from a turbo 'bird, but you get the idea....

The hood vents on your LT1 might wreak havoc on any second-gen decal ideas.

Has anyone done a true 4th Gen Phoenix on a 4th Gen hood? I've seen some 2nd Gens on there, but it's not quite right.

That white one is close, but it's heavily stylized.

Its difficult to put a Phoenix hood decal on the newer 'birds because the hoods just aren't flat enough. It worked well on the older cars because they had wide, flat hoods, with the shaker scoop in the center close to the windshield, so the wings of the Phoenix could go up and around the sides of it. On the newer T/A's, the regular hoods are contoured to the front end, and its impossible to put a decal on a Ram Air car without it looking ridiculous.

nice shots of these newer themes!

I agree on the trying to make an older 'bird hood decal work on a 4th gen can be very difficult. High Performance Pontiac did a feature on a 4th gen convertible that a guy did up to use a lot of 76 S/E gold cues, and the bird ended up being painted on by hand after trying a full size bird from Phoenix Graphix.

I'll see if I can find it.
