Tan leather a rarity?
#3
Is it taupe or camel? The camel interior is a darker tan, and its only the seats and door panel inserts that are "tan", everything else is black. Its kind of a nice two tone effect. I think the Camel is relatively rare, it isn't even listed in any of the build numbers I've seen for the 2002's from GM.

If I ever had a car with white interior anything, I'd be swapping that **** out ASAP. Or getting some sort of covers for it. Right now, my car is my DD and just normal wear is getting it dirty. I uses some Leather and Vinyl cleaner, and the dirt comes off onto the rag, but still looks dirty on the seat.

My '02 has the interior color listed as "Neutral" but has the black accents which make for a 2-tone type look, which I like. I think the interior color may have depended on the exterior color. I have seen VERY FEW black interiors on NBM cars....... at least on 2002 models. Ironically I got some spare parts from a wrecked 2002 NBM WS6 with a black interior several years ago......was the 1st black int I had seen on a NBM car except for one brand new one I was looking to buy back in 2002.

It is just something I tend to get a lot of (positive) comments about & here I "thought" it was unique.

Hey that's still a beautiful combo. Taupe was my second choice if I couldn't have gotten camel (I guess you never know even when you're ordering). I think the lighter colored interiors class up the general mood in our cars. My T/A is red with black..and to be honest it sometimes feels like I'm riding around in a coal truck.

GM called it taupe in 2000......most people understand "tan"......it's like when people say they want a Coke when sometimes ordering a Coke means you'll be getting a Pepsi
Here's a dealer brochure from 2000 listing it as Taupe:

it was grey carpet out of my bro's car. he was going to take it to the dump, but i said i wanted it, and then i threw some black fabric dye on it w/ a spray bottle. so i guess you can call it black carpet? the pic with the flash makes it look dark grey... but i used black fabric dye from walmart.
