Like the View: someone in te LT1 section just test drove 2 LS1 cars and said they were both a pooch. One was cammed with other bolt ons.

I got mine for $3800, no pics right now, have my digi cam loaned out. Soon... Soon

Well my car has 133k miles on it. Whoever told you that LT1s don't last belongs in a mental hospital. These engines are bullet proof, there are some running around 200k+ miles. The things you need to look out for are the opti, that has a tendency to go out, so does the waterpump. The plugs and wires are a PITA to change. But the block will last a good long time as long as the oil is kept changed and you keep coolant in it and you don't spin it too high. The intake manifold gasket has a tendency to fail and an oil will leak from here. As with most modern motors they will last well over 100k miles if properly taken care of.

I have had my LT1 since 113K , now it has 124K and I only had it for 7 almost 8 months now. I only had to change the Radiator (BC it blew not engine related $150)Intake Gasket(bound to happen for its mileage $30), and Muffler(my choice it was rotted being 12 years old $50). I was very skeptical about getting a LT1 because of the "So called" problems. When I chanced it , I love everything about em and I can keep the mileage down on the LS1 and still have fun with it being my Daily Driver.
