Wow, that's interesting. I can remember when I got my 'bird in '99 the newest they did at the time was '88 I believe. I'd check periodically to see if they'd updated....slowly they crept up to 2000. I got my info, but you'll find many opinions on the quality of the info provided. Sorry to hear they're not doing the new stuff anymore.

I've not heard of the other place, but their website really doesn't portray them as a business that would provide the info on our 'birds.

Just go to your favorite search engine and type in "PHS-Online". I'd post a link if they were a site sponsor.

Thats where I went and they returned my app with the following.

"Unfortunately, due to some recent internal changes at GM, we are not able to provide vin information on any Pontiacs newer than 1986. As such we cannot process your order.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the folks at Allied-Vaughn to obtain this information."

That's too bad. Hopefully that other place is just as helpful.

OK, I emailed them and got this:

Jim,

The following information explains the ordering process for GM vehicle
invoices.

The General Motor Dealer Invoice service is managed by Allied Vaughn, a

tier one supplier of GM. For copies of a GM vehicle invoice, please
email the attached request form to vehicleinvoice@gmmediaarchive.com
<mailto:vehicleinvoice@gmmediaarchive.com> . As of March 1, 2005 the
cost for this service is $50.00 per invoice. If paying by credit card,
your account will be charged within two business days of fulfillment.
Fulfillment is expected to take 2 to 3 weeks. If paying by check or
money order, please mail your check or money order and a copy of this
form to:

Allied Vaughn
11923 Brookfield
Livonia, MI. 48150
Attention: GM Vehicle Invoice

Check or money order payments may cause a delay in fulfillment, as it
must clear before your order is shipped.
Invoices are available for vehicles* in the following model years:
Chevrolets since 1977
Pontiacs since 1987
Buicks since 1982
Cadillacs since 1980
Oldsmobiles since 1977
GMC since 1976
*Fleet and exported vehicles excluded

Please feel free to contact our local management team with any
suggestions or concerns. Email or call:
Chris Barkoozis, General Manager
Allied Vaughn (800) 462-5543 ext 105

I wish the PHS option was still available- I did that with my 85 and they sent all kinds of goodies like press photos, etc.
