Just had to let you guys know that I finally purchased my very own LS1. After 5 years of college, and waiting as patiently as I could, I went out and bought a beautiful 2000 Maroon Trans Am. It's very well optioned out with the hurst six-speed. I can't wait to starting modding her out as well as blowing the doors off the two million mustangs that live around me!

I felt the same way when I finally got my 2000 Formula. Good luck modding, be careful it gets addicting!

10-4 on the adicting thing. I've had mine a year and drive it 80 miles round trip to work every single day and still can't get enough. Do this, first thing: After market rear-end and 4.10s!
The GM unit is a POS and if you drive your car hard, which it sounds like you are going to do, it's a guarantee you'll be cursing at it soon enough. I wish I'd made the Strange 12 bolt my first mod. *sigh* live and learn.
