Default 1999 formula ws6

Recently bought a 99 formula with ws6 package. It is black and has is a4. I went to compnine and checked the serial # and rpo's from the door sticker and it showed 1 of 1 built with the options. It has all the rpo's listed there on the door sticker. Am I doing somthing wrong or is it really 1 of 1? I have a picture of the rpo's of my car in my album to verifie the codes.

alot of cars will be like that if you enter every rpo code. remove the plant rpo code and build date. that will bring the number up.

Default 99 formula

Thanks, I think that worked. Taking the manufacturing plant out showed 0 built so I went through the rpo's and found RL8 that gave me a total of 2 built. Then I could take out almost all the the other codes and still showed 1 of 2 built. RL8 is control sales item #82. Don't know what that is but it seems the only differance between the 2 cars?

I could not figure out how to pull the build date out, but after I pulled the RL8 out then I could take out any rpo's and still show 2 built. thanks again.

I had replied in the other thread, but I took your VIN into CompNine, included ONLY WS6, W66, 41U, MX0 and 14B (WS6 Formula, black, A4 & graphite interior) and came up with 16 built. BUT, here's the rub, you DON'T have t-tops, and without that RPO (CC1 / DE4) on your build sticker, CompNine's GUI cannot exclude the T-Top cars from that 16 total to find out how many HTs like yours was built. BUT, the breakdown I did do determined that out of the total of 62 A4 WS6 Formulas built in '99, only 46 had T-tops, leaving 16 that were HTs (all colors). All we can do is estimate that since 16 of the 62 A4 WS6 Formulas had HTs (25.8%), approximately only 8 of the 30 Black A4 WS6 Formulas had HTs.

CompNine is showing 806 '99 T/A coupes like yours w/ the optional GU5 3.23 gear (excluding TCS, Monsoon & chrome wheels). Adding TCS (NW9) drops that to 494. Adding the PO5 chrome rims drops that to 271. Adding your W55 Monsoon w/ CD drops that to 245.

Go to this link:

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

Enter your VIN in the decoder box. If your car is in their database, it will return a list of all the RPOs installed on your car from the factory. You can print this out for your records, but it should match the decal that is either on your glove box door ('93-'96-ish models) or driver's door ('97-ish & up).

If you want to determine how many other cars like yours was built, scroll to the bottom of the page below the RPO list. CompNine's GUI has 3 columns w/ all your RPOs in the left column. As you click and drag the RPOs into the center column, it will tell you how many cars like yours (same model, body & year) were built w/ that RPO. As you drag more RPOs into the center column, that number will decrease, since it reflects the number of cars that have BOTH RPOs that have been dragged to the center column. To get a practical number, limit the RPOs that you drag to the center to your trim level (W66 for Formula, Y82/Y84 for T/A, Z28 or WU8 for SS, etc), exterior color (xxU), transmission (MN6 or MXO), interior trim color, etc. I'm not sure what the limit is on the number of RPOs that you can drag over before it crashes, but you don't need to do that many (if you were to drag all RPOs over you would find that there were only 1 or 2 cars exactly like yours built in the particular week your car was built, because one of those RPOs is the build week........ and nobody gives a hoot about this number).

Thank you very much! I added some RPO codes and the result has been 60 results. And specifying any more without including the week of manufacture is the result of 9 vehicles manufactured by what I believe is a rarity car, I searched a lot of information about the car since I bought it a year ago and have not found matches. In 1995 was manufactured in Canada. Spent time in a U.S. dealer, then came to Spain imported although here the European version was sold for trans am, and had two owners until I bought it. Now I'm slowly renewing it needs care. Thank you very much!!!
