I have a Black WS6 Formula M6 with traction control (why?) T-tops and cloth. What other info do you need to help me determine the number?
Thanks!
Total 2000 WS6 Formulas: 231
w/ M6: 151
w/ M6 and black: 44
w/ M6 and T-tops: 90
w/ M6 & traction control: 74
Since you didn't specify the color of cloth:
w/ M6 and black cloth: 75 (only 33 of these had AG1 articulating seats)
w/ M6 and taupe cloth: 10 (only 4 of these had AG1 articulating seats)

I can't see the pics for some reason, so I can't tell what color your car is (if its NOT red or black, PM me your VIN and I can look up the ASC# for it).

Total 1998 WS6 Formulas: 244 (this higher number includes Canadian "exports")
w/ A4: 90
w/ A4 & T-tops: 80 (the other 10 were HT)
see the link to the breakdowns in my sig for other info........

Glad to help. You can try this thread for the ASC#, but don't hold your breath too long. I wish whoever it is that has that info would digitize it and send it to me so I can help folks find their ASC#s, as it is I only have #s for the '98s except for the red and black cars.

Zero, because black was not offered as an interior color on '93 Firebirds.

You probably mean pewter or graphite, in that case the breakdown shows that of the 5369 T/A coupes built in '93:
1195 had M6
4500 had HT
97 were yellow
583 had graphte cloth
332 had pewter cloth
2488 had graphite leather
1059 had pewter leather

Since I didn't breakdown combinations of these you'll have to make an educated guess on how many '93 yellow T/As w/ M6 and HTs had X interior.

(BTW, all the info I provided is available in the links in my sig)

CompNine reports that out of 3111 A4 WS6 coupes built in 2001, 524 were Pewter. However, another source reports there were 3241 A4 WS6 coupes built in '01, so that 524 number of Petwter A4 WS6 coupes may be a tad higher.

For that, you need your ASC#. Hard to get that of lately. Wish I could help you there.

Default R9Z RPO - Special order car?

so i've been doing a bit of research on the RPO code R9Z on my 95 T/A and i've found a few interesting things.

The RPO has a high occurrence in Firehawks. I looked at the official firehawk site and of 221 cars in 1995 that received this RPO code according to compnine.com , over 28 of them are listed on firehawk.org. those are just known cars. that seems like a pretty high percentage (10%) for an RPO considering there were 40k plus 1995 firebirds that year and less than 1000 of them were firehawks. the official title of the RPO is

R9Z - POMS EXPEDITE-SOLD ORDERS/TSE

which that "expedite sold orders" seems to point to something like either the car was ordered for a customer, or it was a special order of some sort.

It's just something i've always been curious of since my car has 2 very rare RPO codes. This one and the VH3 Hawaii code which only 76 firebirs (24 of them trans ams) had that year.

Here is a list of firehawks that had that RPO. there are over 600 cars there over the 4th gen run. 28 are from 95. the description of the RPO is different on this site, i found the "expedite sold orders" with the RPO on another gm site.

It means a dealer ordered the car for a individual and it was "presold" not a stock order vehicle.

interesting. well that explains the mileage and what the original owner told me. he didn't specifically say it was a special order, but he did say that he couldn't get a cd player for some reason due to a shortage. and the car had 9 miles on it when they bought it so it wasn't a car that got any test drives.

It also explains why there's a high percentage of Firehawks with that code as it sounds like many firehawks were customer ordered rather than dealership ordered.

Correct, that includes both T-top and Hardtop cars. There's probably fewer than that number of T-top cars like yours since T-tops were not yet standard on T/As in '97.
