I was mistaken Johnny... It is in fact a 96... w t tops... M6, Formula WS6 w Red guts...
Oh, well that's different. Unfortunately it appears that CompNine's database is missing some of the '96 MY cars: They show a total of 339 '96 WS6 Formulas while another source shows 524. So keep that in mind for the rest of these numbers as they come from CompNine:
240 M6 WS6 Formulas built in '96, 115 of these came w/ T-tops, 88 were black, and (drumroll)......... only 1 w/ the 702/703 red interior. If the car still has the RPO decal, please check for these interior codes, because if that is the original interior on that car, even considering that there may be more with it that are not in CN's database, its still extremely rare.
Yep.. I'll get that when the owner gets back from vaca in Maui and post it up... Man... What a find... I scour the internet for what i feel are rare 4th gen fbods and i have found several. THIS ONE though seems to be the crem ala crem.... Thanks for looking that up for me.

I cant seem to figure out Compnine even after paying for it.
Unless they’ve changed something in the past several months - paying for like 5 VIN checks and calling it a day won’t get you the rarity/RPO comparison capability. You have to actually subscribe to their monthly dealio to access that.
Just sign up for one of their plans, get your data and cancel. That’s what I did.
I move all the RPO codes off the door sticker to the middle box right? If so its 1 of 2.
Figuring it out...
1 of 5 total in color and int color combo
4 being auto
1 being manual
Yeah just be careful how you position your rarity depending on where it comes up. Just one guys opinion, but most people’s cars here wind up being 1 of 1 or 1 of 3 or whatever once you pile on every RPO that you have. For instance just adding the RPO for the Monsoon cassette player (which I have) it immediately became 1 of 12 or something. I go to car shows/meet ups all the time and I’ll be damned if I tell people it’s THAT rare. I think the most widely accepted RPOs (for determining rarity within a given year) would be: color, engine, trans/gears, top (T, conv, hard) and maybe interior. What do you get with just those?
Very nice! Yeah right off the top that looks like one they didn’t make many of. Is that the v6 or a Trans Am? I don’t think they made any Formulas like that if I’m not mistaken.

Its a V8 trans am, check the bumper lol. Its def not a formula. I dont think they made any V6 trans ams

Haha yeah. I don’t know my verts very well. Def no v6 TAs… that bumper, no ram air and the lower spoiler (which I actually like better than the tall one) threw me.
Nice BPM T/A 'vert. That's one of 40 non-WS6 T/A BPM 'verts built in '98. Unfortunately I didn't break-down the non-WS6 cars by trans, but I have little doubt that w/ the white top and white interior (only 156 '98 T/A verts had white interior across all exterior colors), that's a pretty rare combo.
FYI, while Formulas were "not available" as a 'vert in '98+, there were 2 built that snuck out of the factory in '98, both had WS6, both red, one w/ white top, pewter leather & M6, the other w/ black top, pewter cloth & A4. I suspect that these were built to fulfill an order for a '97 MY car (which had Formula 'verts available).
