Default Too good to be true?

Hey guys. I have never owned an LS car but have owned several older F body cars and a couple older Vettes. Anyway a guy at work tells me a freind of his is selling a 2000 WS6 for $4,000!!
He says its in good shape. Its pewter, Automatic, and i dont know the milage. Im going to look at it this weekend. Does this sound too good to be true to you guys?? Should I be scared of it? Any info on what to look for on these things would help. Thanks

I haven't seen it and know nothing about it...but I will give $5K for it sight unseen if its in one piece and will crank up and pull onto my trailer. Want to make $1K???

Seriously what should you be hesitant about...take off work and go buy it in the morning!

If you'd let us know where you live, maybe a member in the same area could go with you to have a look at it. Nothing beats experience..

Default if nothing else check if the engine is well

If so yank it out and retro fit it into one of your older rides, prob had the frame bent back into working condition by a shop or something.

Went to look at the car. It was pretty clean. Started and ran well. No funny noises. No Ram Air hood though. Does that mean its not a WS6. The bad news is the kid could not produce a title. I also noticed that the county on the plates did not match the county he lived in, I give him my number and told him I would give him $4000 without bartering if he could produce a title. I didnt get the vibe that the car was stolen I think maby mom or pop may own it.
