Interesting. That's was my main concern on going with a stall that size was that "loose" feeling like the fbodies have. I wasn't sure if the manners would be better or worse with the 6L80.

Did you get to cruise with it locked at any time? Just wondering if it carries some of the lock-up quirks I've seen with the larger stalls.

what you are refering to is a tuning issue. the converter has nothing to do with "lock up quicks" - it does what its told.

Greg at FTI builds some super converters. I told him what I wanted in a dd converter and he built it better than what I asked for.
Check out the times in my signature below and my time slips are posted in my personal best post.

Trust me, Greg will custom build you a converter to any spec that you can daily drive with ease. My converter drives near stock with ease driving around town and requires very minimum effert to get moving.

FTI 3600 has my G8 going pretty well down the track!

Couple questions now that I've had it a while...

Do you know what would cause the converter to chatter? It seems to work fine otherwise. Chatters in park, goes away in Reverse, chatter comes back in neutral, goes away in drive.

Any idea why the car leaves harder off idle then it does loading up the stall? Theres no tire spin to speak of on MIR's well prepped track. If I leave off idle up to about 1200RPM she goes 1.6x, stall it up to 2-3k RPM she goes 1.7x.

The 3600 now flashes about 4k RPM with my power. Are their any changes recommended either way to make the car faster?

Thanks
