Default G8 rim question

I want to buy so rims for the G8. What is the rim pattern etc? What is the widest I can go with it meaning with no modding the fenders or anything like that. Im thinking about black with a chrome lip or just all chrome. Thanks

Check out Tire Rack. From what I've seen 295's are the widest you can go, but I may be wrong.

I hope you've been looking on G8board.com and Grrr8.net? The biggest wheel, without major modification seems to be 10" wide with a 285 tire. Most seem to still have to roll the fenders.
It seems pretty ridiculous that they fit the GT and even the GXP with a measly little 245-40 tire. Ridiculous

Well actually 4.75" would be 120.65 mm. Not exactly the right bolt pattern. but people do it. No wheel manufacturer would recommend or maybe even allow it.
But, yes, the G8 has a 5x120mm bolt pattern.

You do realize that 120.65 translates to each side being a mere .325 mm off? That is .01279" off per side. That is most likely smaller then the tolerance to which wheel makers produce wheels!

All I'm saying is that 120 and 120.65 are two different numbers and that no wheel manufacturer would recommend it.
And I'm not really sure where you're getting your numbers from anyway

5x120 or 5x120.65 are measured in metric millimeters. That is saying a circle with a diameter of 120.65mm with 5 lugs. Each lug measuring from the hub would then be 1/2 the difference in diameter or .325mm. (120.65-120)/2 = .325mm

The to go from mm to inches you get .01279 inches or 12 thou.... you can generally use a head that has 3 thou of warpage on it with no leaks, so I really don't think 12 thou center being off will make a difference.

Maybe wheel manufacturers wouldn't recommend it (I have no proof of that), but it is in no way unsafe.
