After 3 years I'm guessing no more than 50%. I'm not hating on Pontiac, I'm just trying to be realistic.
I am definately interested in getting a GXP, but seeing as how there are virtually no lease options, buying a brand new expensive Pontiac seems like a horribly bad idea. Am I wrong? Your thoughts...

Its hard to say. There always has been something newer and better to replace the current model. Its not happening now with Pontiac closing their doors. There wasnt anything to replace the Impy SS so value stayed relatively high. Even if GXP does lose that much value initially, its doubtful it will be worth much less than that ever.

if you go through cars every few yrs and are worried about resale you might want to avoid buying a pontiac. my GTOs value has dropped big time though ive had it over 4 yrs.
i buy what i want and can afford. resale isnt a major concern with me since i dont buy new cars often.

its tough to say, its def going to take a hit, thats just part of owning a car, especially gm cars. but if this vehicle is only made for one year; it might hold more value then you think since there wont be any on the market

Buying any new pontiac right now isnt a good thing if you are concerned about resale. If you really want one wait a year or two and pick up a clean used one after the big depreciation hits. There are a few regular 08 GTs around with low miles in the low 20s used, I suspect you will see a GXP or two pop up cheap in a couple years.

I completely see the flip side to this and being that it will probably only be made for this year or two will make it pretty rare after few years. As it is I have a GXP and with a 2.3 maggie and I will tell you that I havent seen one on the road other than me.

We bought our GXP to keep. We arn't planning to get anymore cars for a long time. I think if we got something in the future it would be a truck to pull the f-bodies on a trailer to the track. We know the GXP's and GT's will b collector cars, just hang on to them.
