No, there will not be a 2010 G8.
Production ended on the line this past winter. So what's left on dealer lots right now are the last ones that will be available new. The car lasted two model years 2008-2009 only. Just over 1,800 LS3 GXPs were made.
Pontiac as a brand is also being discontinued by GM after this year. Get your new G8 while you can.

Yep the plant stopped production in april of this year and then never resumed before gm annouced bankruptcy and the disbandment of pontiac.
All cars are either on lots or in the gm inventory system.

I am VERY disappointed in GM for getting rid of Pontiac. The G8 is an awesome car. If they had offered it with the 3.6 DI motor, I think it would have sold better. But, to keep GMC and not Pontiac????? Go kill yourselves GM. I'm sure the average GMC enthusiast would simply divert to buying a Chevy. So why get rid of Pontiac and Saturn. Enthusiast of the two, especially Saturn, will most likely look for an import now. My G8 will probably be the last GM vehicle I ever buy. I may not even buy American again.

Except for trucks I have little use for any American car these days, I have a lot of respect for Ford staying out of the government BS but I just dont like anything they make right now except the Mustang, all their cars have a weird Jules Verne look going I just dont care for. Nothing in the GM lineup except for the G8 really appeals to me either. My only complaint with the G8 is going to be getting parts and service in the near future. The dealer I bought mine at closed down recently and I wonder whats going to happen when Pontiac is officially dead.

All of their cars are also hugely expensive now too, even the Mustang.

welcome to the world of mixed messages generated by large global corporations. gm does that stuff all the time.
personally i hope a 2010 car does come out as larger production numbers mean more aftermarket and cheaper replacement parts.
i know it isn't happening though.

the plant is a joint effort between toyota and gm so they are both equally toyota ang gm honestly. I call it the genmyota. They are built side by side, toyota and gm both run the plant. But it brings up a question, which do you like better? The Vibe or Matrix?

Supposedly Penske is buying Saturn, if thats true it would stay in the states. A group of gm dealers from Detroit and investers made an offer for Pontiac and GM wouldn't do the deal, that came from a Caddy dealer that I know in Iowa. To bad, I do really like my g8 and its a great sedan for the money. Its built better the my bimmer.
