the only srt8 that is awd is the GCsrt8. the mag,challenger,300 are all rwd.

 

He did not mention what SRT vehicule made more stock 12s pass so I did not mention what vehicule was awd.

 

Just have to add this. I met a guy who had a SRT8 Charger with those mods plus aftermarket mufflers who thought his car would run 11's and make over 500 to the wheels. lol I so wanted to take the 300lbs of pool salt out of my trunk and set hit straight

 

My GTO has never lost to an SRT-8. Buddy had a SRT8 300 with custom exhaust, diablosport and fenderwell cai. I had a vararam and no mufflers. I got him by a door length. With the headers and other mods, It would probably be ugly for that 300. To bad he doesn't have it anymore. Also beat a Charger on the highway, you know, the part where all SRT8 owners say they'll win from the extra powa!

How many GXP's do you think go out to the track compared to the SRT8's? If I didn't have much trouble with them, I doubt the GXP will.

 

There are acutually quite of few us us GXP owners in Colorado that go to Bandimere Speedway...I haven't seen too many SRT-8's up there.

But I'm not up there all the time either....

 

i ran an srt8 charger with my 04 gto and he went 12.80s consistantly with full exhaust and an intake, to my 12.40s. my buddy has an srt8 grand cherokee and he runs 12.50s with a catback, intake and tune. id be more scared of the jeeps myselfs they come outta the hole pretty quick for an suv

 

The GTO and the SRT8 was always a drivers race, I would expect an LS3 to edge it out.

 

yeah stock GCsrt8 will run 1.7's all day. Youd be hard pressed to beat one up to 50-60mph. And if they have a good tune and a few mods? forget it. Only chance is in the 1/4 unless you have DR and dont mess up.

 

What do the SRT8's tepa speed when they are stock?
There was a Charger and Jeep at the track once last year and they were running mid 12's at 115 mph. I didnt get a chance to talk to them but i thought no way are they close to stock. That day I was running 12.90's at 108.

 

I believe the jeep is around 103-105. I think the charger is around 106-108

 

Ahhh--ok--so they were definately modded.

 

yeah deff modded. doesnt take much just like with GM motors they react well to mods and a good tune will wake it up.
