Maganflow "street series" Review
I've always had LOUD F-bodies with headers, no cats, and Magnaflow and they sounded great. Ordered Doug Thorley Catless headers and was debating to go with the "street series" or "race series" exhaust that Magnaflow offers for the G8. After a lot of research and talking to one of the techs at Magnaflow, I decided to go with the street series with the catless headers so it wouldnt be obnoxiously loud with the wife and kid in the car. Just bolted up the catback but am still waiting for the headers and it is pretty quiet. I'm sure it will get louder as it breaks in and louder again when I get the headers on next week, I'm just hoping it's loud enough cuz right now I'm not too happy with it. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to let everyone know what it is and I hope it helps someone make a decision on their car. I'll let ya guys know when I get the headers on how it sounds.

It will get a good bit louder once you install the DT headers.
I had the Magnaflow catback 16795, I guess that would be the race version without the center resonator with the DT headers and it was fairly loud. I think the street series with the extra resonator will be what your looking for with family in the car.

Plenty familiar with the AFM Drone, had a Grand Prix GXP with no cat and magnaflow. That one was tuned out as well. Surprisingly, without having the headers on, I can't really hear it so far but when I get the headers and stall on I'll be going thru everything again on HPtuners and turn it off for sure.
