When i do a search on Autotrader.com for these cars, i mostly find these car's in the $20thousands, the lower mileage ones being in the mid to high $20 thousands.

There are **** tons of Camaros on the street now. Why trade a rare car for something common especially considering you probably won't get much for the GT?

The G8's went up in price recently, at least around here. I got mine during the winter for $24k with 4k miles on it, clean from Carsense. The one they have now (same trim level) has 20k miles on it and they're asking $28k. I am chalking that up to their increased rarity and increased cost during the summer months, as I drove mine home in a blizzard (which is a very good bonding experience for the car and driver on their first ride, lol).

G8's are nice, I would just keep that.

If you folks decide on a new Camaro, they're we be some upgrades to the interior next year possibly. You guys will loose alot of money selling you G8 right now.

For some reason i have a feeling you guys dont have to talk the OP into keeping the G8, he said the "wife" AKA "boss" wants a camaro so a camaro is what she'll get lol.

how many g8 gts were built, i didnt think they were "rare" so to speak.

8,000 G8 (v6)
16,000 G8 GT
1,800 G8 GXP

(roughly)

I already see more camaros on the street than G8s. Hell, I see more GTOs than G8s.

After looking on Autotrader I found the automatic G8's are advertised in the 25k to 29k range.

The G8 GXP's 6 speeds are advertised in the 36k to 38k.

I didn't realize the G8's were such a limited production. I can see why it was so hard to find a GXP G8 even when Pontiac was still around.

I think the production #'s of the GXP's was 1800 give or take a few.
And yes the G-8 is more rare than the GTO. the 3 yr. #'s on the GTO was around 40,000.
Thats why I bought 1 of each

IMHO I wouldn't sell the G8 either, Pontiac is no more, those cars are fairly rare, and it seems nifty to have a 4 door (that's fast no less). However, if you really want to sell it, I am confident you will sell it in a heart beat for anything under 30k lol

If I had cash for a "new" car I would certainly scoop one up.

That list only looks to be for 2009 models. I believe the total was just under 40,000 all together for all G8 models.

correct. The total numbers are just about the same as the GTOs. You see them occasionally, but they are not "common" by any means.
