g8really worth it

I would hold off for the gxp. I have a gp gtp, love the car but i rode in a gxp 6spd when they came you. More head room I'm 6'3" and not an autotragic. Way better interior, looks, brakes. You really can't go wrong with the gxp even if it's an auto just cam/stall it. Also you don't have the weak trans that comes in the gp plus your rwd so traction issues can be solved easy with slicks/DR.

I would find it humorous if the G8 prices tank when the new Chevy SS comes out. It will pretty much be the same car so the uniqueness factor of the G8 will go away.
The G8 really got ripped off in so many ways.
Much worse clutch than camaro. Weird slave cylinder.
Smaller bushings, smaller ball joints.
Softer suspension.
No Brembos in the back even though GM went on and on about it being a perfect 50/50 car.
No jack/tools.
19s! WTF GM? 19s are really expensive and the aspect ratio they chose was too inviting for impact breaks with such a heavy car!
With my Camaro I got 24 tank to tank with hotrodding. With the G8 I could barely get 20 when trying to be conservative.
The exhaust sound of the car was great and it was fast for what it was. Interior design was very good. Tons of room. But it wasn't fast for how much HP it was cranking out and the suspension sucked. I would of been interested in a more cramped car if GM could of gotten it to weigh in at less and it was set up more like a sports car instead of an American Luxury sedan.

G8 came first, Camaro came second. Generally newer cars/models are improved over older ones.
The G8 is pretty far from a luxury car as well, it's most similar to the LT1 Imapalas and new Chargers.
I also get 25mpg on the open road with my GXP.
The Corvette is a completely different type of car, not even worth mentioning in a thread talking about sedans.

No GXP gets 25 MPG when taking a reasonable measurement suitable for estimating the cost of operation. No point in mentioning a pseudo-laboratory figure. That is a loaded comparison especially when you consider what type of numbers I stated in my previous post and it makes me doubt the rest of your post. Such faulty logic...

It is what it is. I nice sedan that is somewhat fast for it's class. It isn't a world class sports car and doesn't compete with those....

I'm happy with mine. It's worth it.
The Chevy SS is going to have to come out of the gate smoking hot for me to reconsider. If it's on the Alpha platform (Cadillac ATS / 6th gen Camaro) with an LS3 / M6 option then GM will have my full and undivided attention.
