I bought my G8 GT 2 months ago and we drive it every where. Its a great family car, awesome to cruise in, awesome power for a big sedan and having an IOM one I am constantly turning heads and getting compliments. I am more than happy I decided to get one. With magnaflow axlepacks and a rotofab CAI it sounds awesome too!

When I sold my GTO, I was looking at 4 cars to replace it with.
Charger SRT8
BMW 335i
G8 GT
TBSS
- My mother-in-law has a 3 series BMW, and as much as I love them, there is just no back seat. I have two kids, and take frequent road trips so I had to have more room.
- I test drove a TBSS, and really liked it, but would have been stuck with the same LS2/ 4L65E combo that was in the GTO. The trannys in the TBSS's are NOTORIOUS for breaking if you beat on them, and I would have. If the TBSS would have come with an LS3 (or L76)/ 6L80E combo like the G8, I would have bought one in a heartbeat.
- My buddy has a Charger, and I just don't like the interior. Plus they are bigger, heavier, and slower with less interior space than the G8.
I "settled" on the G8, and I LOVE it. It takes well to mods, is roomier than the GTO, handles extremely well, and still manages to get decent highway mileage.

I agree the tbss is a great sleeper suv. But i hear horror stories about the gas mileage and tranny and a awd is alot to fix if breaks. Also the e fans trans cooler and so on. I test drove a few tbss and love the styling of the body. But their interior is so 1990's. The g8 me and my wife loved the interior is nicer great leg room for the backseat i might be purchasing one in 2 months from now. Also i have a dumb question the g8 gxp is a ls3. So does the g8 gt have is it also a vette motor.

Coin toss. I had a TBSS SS3 AWD. It was awesome! I liked it because it was bigger but it had the 4l60e transmission, add a cam and i'm guessing it will blow! G8 is a head turner, and even more with an exhaust and camshaft.
