Wife and I are planning on having a kid in a year or two. All the G8s I see for sale are 80k miles and up. I doubt that's a problem, but just want to know if there are any special problem areas on these cars, especially at this mileage.

Not really any big issues, there are plenty forsale under that price also. Mine is forsale and it has 62,000 on it and its supercharged. Mines been pretty much carefree, but I'm pretty **** about mine and its taken very good care of.

The only issue I've had is a headrest. Stupid thing had cracks in it after maybe 30K miles. I've taken care of the control arms under a TSB, and lifter noise under a different TSB. My car has 66K on the clock now. BTW, what prices are you seeing?

I'm looking at an 08 GT with 81K for $15,000 right now. Don't really know much about the G8 but love the way it looks. What should I be on the lookout for?

Bad front lower control arms
Strut mounts worn
Leaking rear main seal/oil pan gasket
Lifter Tick....AFM Lifters

The rest of the car is pretty solid, these symptoms above are hit and miss and the most common issues I've seen. I had the dealer replace my LCAs and Oil pan gasket, all under warranty.

Would the above be covered under 100K mile warranty?

Bought mine for $16,000 after TTL with 111K on it, in Sept. Only one for sale under $20K within 250 miles. It now has 121K on it and no problems at all. I need to do a trans flush but that is just because I want to.

Only the power train is 5y/100k miles, the suspension would not be covered under this.

Will be fine as long as proper preventative maintenance and care was done. There's a guy on the G8 Forums with over 250k miles on his car and climbing.
