So my buddy let the back end out too far in his 09 G8 GT this past weekend, long story short the car is totaled, but its still driveable. Just for our sake, lets just assume the body is trash from the rear doors back. Car had 95k miles on it, mostly stock except a CAI and a custom axle back. White/black cloth interior.

Insurance has offered to sell back for $3100, so I am interested, but wondering how interested I should be. He doesn't have the spare cash, so he is going to let it go if I don't want it. I am neck deep in my LS miata conversion, so I would only be buying this to part it out, do you guys think I should buy it or let it go.

I bought it, picking up it on Saturday, so I will see what I have then. I don't need the car right now, so I'll likely be either parting or trying to sell the whole thing.

I did buy it, he wrecked it in St. Louis, I will pull it home to the Illinois side.
