We were very impressed with the numbers, and remember this is on our Mustang Chassis Dyno! Bob

great numbers.

Just want to be certain the change in HP from 286 to 304 is from just the change of the intake? No tune?

Pretty damn good increase

No tuning done. I am curious what can be had with some tuning, that will more than likely be the next step. Bob

Yeah,
No tuning done and the car was extremely rich I suspect COT I would of liked to tune it up but we think its best to see what bolt on power can be had. Roto-Fab is working on some other tricks for the next round of testing. Possible some high Flo Cats.

Nice gains from the intake!

I wouldn't mind bolting up a set of high flow cats to a high flowing catback but Are the factory cats that restrictive?

I really don't think the factory cats are restricting flow too much. One thing I'd like to get out of the way is headers, and maybe I can custom-weld some highflow cats onto a cutsom H-Pipe. I'm working with a local shop on getting that done.

There is a black tube that goes into the stock are box. I don't see that on the roto fab. Did you eliminate it? I thought it read the air temp in the intake. However, I'm not sure, I just noticed its not on your tubing, at least I can't see it.

The PCV hose enters before the throttle body on the left hand side, via 90deg fitting. The inlet air temp is located in the mass air flow meter i believe.

I am trying to get the dyno graphs posted up here really soon.
Interesting fact.... With the cold air it is almost .7 richer.
There is alot of power left on the table for a tune.

How does it sound with the intake? I know on my car intake made a huge difference in performance and sound because the stock intake was all closed up and I couldnt hear the engine much. I test drove a G8 yesterday and it was too quiet.

Isn't a 75hp loss from the factory ratting a bit much? Wasn't ford sued for something like this with the Cobra's????

I think part of that is because it's a mustang dyno. I have said the same thing about a few of the dyno's I've seen on them. Some of the drivetrain losses are more than what 4x4 trucks lose.

You are right the Mustang Dyno is a little tuffer (load cell) I think there is a lot of Torque Management in play also The most timing we saw was 21.5 I am sure there is a lot left in it.

I'm a huge fan of the G8, can't wait to get one, and i know the 6L80 tranny has no 1 to 1 gear in it, so that could be another reason for the low dyno numbers.

I am sure we will see a big increase in horsepower when you start playing around with the tune on this car. Bob
