Ballistic Jello made a point that I didn't see anywhere else on the thread yet.. What about BORLA?? It's a little expensive if you're budgeting (but then again, what's a couple hundred more for a $32,000+ car?), but I think it's one of the best all-around sounding exhausts out there. Not too loud, subtly noticeable at idle, and gets pretty nasty sounding at WOT without ever sounding raspy. VERY deep and clean. The damn thing screams.

Does BORLA make a cat-back for the G8 yet? If they do... that's my choice. If they don't... I'd argue it'd be worth the wait.

i just gotta say, i dont like the g8, i dont like the gto, i dont like any of these piece of crap little tiny/STILL HEAVY performance cars that they are coming out with.

i voted yes b/c my interpretation was yes=aftermarket exahust, no=stock. i like the idea of borla (or corsa for that matter) on it. i would liken the situation to that of an M3 or something of that stature. its a "family" car so you dont need the LM1 equivilent on a G8 so, something sedated but sexy like borla or corsa BELONGS on the G8.

I like the G8 front end over the GTO's. The G8 is a RWD V8, go as loud as you want!

i say a good magnaflow exasut with high flow magnaflow cat would be nice and if you want a little something froim time to time get electric cutout..... but im for a more mellow refined sound even on my 68 camaro and my 2002!!!! magnaflow on both!!!

It depends on the individual owner. I plan on keeping mine on them quieter side, but with an exhaust and headers to give it a nice rumble.

You can have your opinion, but the G8 is anything but tiny. It is a pretty big car with lots of interior space.

I have decided to just keep the stock mufflers on with my American Racing Headers and Long Tubes. I tried the Kooks mufflers and was VERY disappointed with them. While the stockers aren't quite the sound I'm looking for, they do help keep me in stealth mode till I open it up. I guess I prefer it that way so no one realizes it's a 12 second car till it's to late lol.

do yourselves a favor and *** out the fact resonator
and replace it with a 2 1/2 x-pipe from jegs (97.00).

then delete the mufflers and weld some 4 1/2 inch
tips out back...

all can be done for under 300.00...
