Default getting closer and closer

finally got the dash and a/c,heater, and blower motor out of car. got the 10 bolt rear end mocked up for tub clearance, got tranny back from builder, motor still at machine shop, and car is gutted. ready to mount fuel system, and started installing the dash shell, switch board, and MSD box last night. will take pics as i proceed with new build.

It's so sad to hear about/see these cars being distroyed. But I do understand going fast. I just wish it were to something that was a little less rare and more mass produced...like an F-body.....

i pretty much got it for free. So it was kinda hard to pass up. Came out of a chevelle race car but the only thing i will change is the gear to a 4.11 and the drum brakes to disc. Other then that its good.

yeah it looks bad right now but it will still look stock except for the carbed motor adn wheel tubs in the back seat area. So it will be ok.

pretty interesting engine build there.....you might want more gear? 4.56 or somewhere.

Sounds fun....I'd like to hear some vids of it revving to the moon. Assume you running solid roller ?

i still don't see why you would put a 10 bolt in it. if you are looking to go very much faster you will need a 12 bolt or a 9" anyway. it is just the way i think do it once and do it right

The 8.5 10 bolt is just as strong as the 12 bolt. But yes the best would be the 9 inch.

well now i am buying my buddys 406 stroker motor for now and slowly build my 331. I gotta get my car going and this is the fastest way to do it. So my 331 build has been put on hold for now. The 406 stroker is built for spray so well see how it does. We are taken the s-10 its in to track tomorrow to see what it does on motor. Then in a couple of weeks we are yanking motor out to transplant it in my goat. So well see
