Default My $3500 twin turbo kit made 564 hp!!

Just got my car tuned at 8 psi on a completely stock motor. It got a REALLY conservative tune with only 14 degrees timing the car made 564 HP 582 ft lbs. My tuner Pete at performance dyno (despite my desperate pleas) would not add any timing because the motor is stock.

I trapped in the low to mid 120s last year on 6.5 psi so the car should go really good now especially with much more torque. My friend and I made this kit ourselves for just about 3,500 bucks. Took about 300 hours.

Default Hours

Lets rephrase this a little bit. The word KIT that my buddy used was used VERY VERY loosely lol. The entire twin turbo setup was completely fabricated from scratch including the log style turbo manifolds and massive 3" downpipes. We had a great time building this turbo setup and learned more than we could have ever asked for.

I really wish Pete would've put the timing back in the car but he is mainly a mustang tuner and is used to boosted v8's blowing up @ 470whp lol. Forgive him for not being a GM guy but he's alright.

Last but not least the complete build took about 350 hours plus countless hours of small repairs and working out bugs and fixing poorly designed parts to the setup. This car is now an absolute monster and I'm just glad to have been a part of the entire process.

I dont think he mentioned but the $3500.00 was with a completely custom fabricated fuel setup including a return style and sumped fuel cell.

Sorry For Chiming in but sometimes we forget how much blood and sweat we shed for our vehicles.

Congrats TTGTO.... You have a true daily driver monster!

hood is by a company called body armour the hood cost 700$ and it was perfect. The only thing is there is a small crack in the clear coat because I shut the hood and misjudged the clearance hard to notice though.

We are currently doing a LQ4 swap in dreamka's six cyl camaro. This will be a single turbo set up. We will keep you posted.

Hey Mike, Vinny keeps telling me about your car, can't wait to check it out in person. I am the guy who he said to talk to about clutches, as i have been through a few!!

Did you replace the valve springs or is this still on a completely stock set up? Looks pretty good, if you want some susp. or driveline info to get it ready to race with out breaking things let me know. I have broken just about every driveline part in these things and learned a few things aong the way haha. Hope to see you up at the track!

I dunno about it being a 10 second car, but it does sound like fun! Wait til you build a motor and up the boost, thats when the fun begins.

Anthony whats up man! Its completely stock including the whole valvetrain.
And I have a lot to talk to you about haha. I kept missing shifts couldn't make a clean run. I checked my clutch fluid and it was BLACK!! So that might have been part of it. But I also have the B&M shifter and in my opinion it SUCKS!!!!!!! Is there any other options? Is there away to adjust it?? Also Ive been soft launching so I dont break anything. Its time to start building the drivetrain. But any help you can give me on this shifting issue will help immediately. I just bled it last night.. hope that will help... ill be at the track this week hopefully wed if the weather is good

How much does your car weigh? Mine made 550HP/570TQ at the wheels, which according to my calculations, is good for 120.6 MPH in the 1/4 at 4000 lbs. When I ran it, my best run was 120.2 MPH. Stock LS2, 7.5 PSI TT, 15 degrees of timing.

I want to run 130 MPH, but I think I'll need another 100HP to 150HP to do it.

I weight 3700 lbs with me in it. I trapped 118 mph on a 100 shot and completely stock block at only 460 hp to the wheels. Im not sure why our traps are so low.. what is the gearing?
