will c6 z51 wheels fit on my 04?
they are 18x8.5, 56mm offset. and 19x10, 79mm offset....my dad has C5 Z06 wheels on his camaro and i tried those but they wont fit...but these are a little smaller...

The backs will not fit.... use 2 sets of fronts one for the back and one for the front.... that offset is just gonna be trouble 79mm........ GTO can use like a 45mm offset

yes they will fit , and YES you need more parts to make them work , a friend of mine has them on his 04
the rears with 285's , he is using a 1 1/4" spacer on the rear , the fronts he has 225's and a 5-6mm spacer i think
ideally the rear offset needs to be 52-54mm , and front 40-46mm

i have c5 zo6 wheels on mine front and back. i am still on stock suspension with 285 45 zr 17's on the front. and 285 45 zr 18's on the back. all i had to use is a 5/16th spacer bought at autozone for the front and the back. i took a piece of 3" pipe and rolled my rear fenders. took a rubber mallet and formed the innner fenders so the tires would not rub. rear only!! so you do not have to go and spend alot of money to do it... and i am still useing the stock wheel lugs...
