Default How to get 600HP.

I was wondering on how to get 600hp to the rears with natural aspiration. I have just purchased a 2006 gto. Right now the engine is completely stock I want to keep it as basic as possible but get the most out of it.

HUGE cam, headers, heads, intake, fast combo and a BIG shot of nitrous will get ya there...

Or you can do a big procharger and cam and call it good

We can get you a new 2300 and you can do it,your rod bolts wont like it for long at 600 rwhp but the 2300 will do it and smile, and it will have nice street manors unlike a 600 hp na car that will suck a ton of gas and drive like crap.Give us a call if we can help you.

You wana do it N.A.? Then your going to have to pull the motor and get it stroked. Big cam, big heads, and some tune time.

I was thinking of just going with a new cam, headers, electronic cut out the gears and taking out the axel and putting in a single one so the wheels don't hop.

......that get you about 150rwhp shy of your mark. 600rwhp NA,....is probably about a 20thousand dollar motor setup. NA power like that,...is hardcore.

If you were gonna say you wanted 550 NA,...you'd need to spend probably ten K....plus supporting mods....

If you wanted to make 500rwhp,....your need a whole top end,..flycut stock pistons,...full exhaust,..etc,...hardcore heads and cam setup,....not soo friendly streetable for most people.

If you wanted to do the mods you stated,...you'd make between 410-450rwhp.

IF you didn't mind going boost,...i'd do a turbo or blower kit,...and call it a day.

If not,...the simpelist way to do it, is buy a good nitrous kit, understand how to safely use it,....have a good tune for it,...and wack the **** out of it.

All kinds of options, all kinds of differet charactaristics , different costs for sure.

You need to really figure out what you want.

Awww, it's not so hard. Hell, even GM has something that would allow you to do it with the addition of a smaller pulley and a more aggressive cam/tune. It's called the LS9. Other than that, OP, you've been given ideas about what you'll achieve with N/A alone, otherwise is your friend!

I say stroker and a small shot of spray will get you there. Or a D1 procharger and forged bottom end.

If you insist on NA, consider a 540 or 582 BBC - likely a tough fit in a GTO but you can get 600 rwhp (or more) easily on pump gas. Better buy some Exxon/Mobil stock though as these will drink gas like it is pouring out of a hose.

Seriously, 600 hp is a lot to get NA unless you go huge on cubic inches and this is expensive. I like the procharger option myself (600 hp???) but it is your car.
