Default Just a heads up, I sell Carbon Fiber OEM 05+ Hoods & also splitters for your cars...

Splitter (bad picture, I REALLY need new pics of my wife's Goat, just powder coated the wheels gunmetal grey as well)...

CF Hood...

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=165

The splitters I make myself (waterjet at the shop) and can offer for $275 shipped to anyone reading this (paypal would be $284) just e-mail me madelisle@yahoo.com

The hoods I'm just a vendor for but if you're ordering a splitter and a hood I can try to work a deal...

How much do those hoods weigh, compared to a stock 05+ hood? Who makes them? Warranty?

Got a customer interested. Thanks

Due to the price I'm assuming its cf laid over glass instead of all cf. How is the fitment of the hood?

I know fitment is good, got to see one in person the other day. I'm not sure if it is pure or not, I'll ask now...

We need a pic of the hood underneath part. It says OEM style, so is it like the stock or does it have the "ram air" ducts going over to the air intake area?

Not sure what ducting you're talking about... I have an OEM hood on my car and there is no ducting that I am aware of (on the hood)...

Right, the OEM does not, but other carbon fiber hoods do have the ducts, like the one made by Carbon Fiber By Design (see pic).

From what you're saying, I'm assuming this hood is like the OEM then, with no ducts?

Now I understand... I'm 99% sure there are no ducts on this hood... I'll call tomorrow to find out, there may be for all I know.

No ducts and laid over fiberglass. Damn will we ever get a true carbon hood with ducts that we can throw the honey cone stock grills in.

A full carbon fiber hood would easily be twice the price.

As for the ducts, most of the hoods that have the ducts look like they'll miss my CAI setup. I would actually prefer one without the ducts, like the OEM.

I would still like to know the hood weight. Anything close to 25 lbs. would be fine.

Just called, no answer, but e-mailed these questions in...

"I had some questions about product number 104897...

1) Is it pure Carbon Fiber or Carbon Fiber laid over fiberglass/duraflex?

2) How much does it weigh?

3) What does the bottom look like? Is it just OEM or does it have built in ducting to go to the air box like this...

http://www.gravanatuning.com/prod_im...-2011_img2.jpg

Thanks!

Mark"

I'll let you know as soon as I know...

"Hello, our hoods are carbon overlay on a fiberglass shell. Unfortunately they are sculpted on the bottom to transfer the air flow a certain way. A hood in the box weighs about 25 lbs"

Sculpted on the bottom sounds like it is ducted like the above pic...

Sorry but you have to research that... Things I do know:

Don't go wider than an 8" rim unless you can make modifications...

I've seen GTO rims on F-Bodies and Fbody rims on GTOs but research the bolt pattern before you make that choice...

Put my Spyders on the wife's car and it looked great (that is what caused her to want to do the powdercoat on hers) but it is something you need to read into on the threads here before you do it...

Well the reason i was asking is because you have them under the gto on your site and what kind a car does your wife have and do you got pics of those wheels on it?
