Default Question on injectors

I'm getting a cam install and need bigger injectors since I'll be spraying (wet). But was quoted alot (injectors aren't cheap I know) for some 60# ones. I found some (ls1gto sponsor) that are 60# but are LS2 injectors resized for 150 cheaper and flow matched. Is there a problem going that route? Trying to save some money since I still need a oil pump and timing chain.

Hard to beat the old tried and true green top injectors. With a LS2, you'd need the electrical adapters and I think you have to space out the fuel rails.

I'd have to do all that for the LS2 injectors that have just been resized?

get some ford green tops, as above poster said, they are very reliable, i have them in my gto and i have cam etc, and im spraying a big shot of nawzz too. But, make sure you get a tune pretty quick after injector install because you will foul out plugs really fast. you can find some ford green tops from sponsors on tech or check ebay

Ok gotcha. I'll just wait until I get there. Go to a park and switch them out before getting to the shop. And what's meant by spade out the fuel rail? Would all this amount to over 315? Because I can get the 60# LS2 resized ones that are flow matched for that much.

Lived in Dickinson, Bay Colony to be exact.

That was a typo... should of said add spacers to the fuel rail (where it bolts down). The LS1 style injectors are taller than the LS2 style. The connector adapters are like $40-$45. You might be able to make your own spacers or use washers. Otherwise, FAST has a spacer kit. If you can get those 60# for $315, I dunno, might be about the same price for the green tops after you add everything else in. I've heard 60# injectors are harder to tune though. The LS1 injectors are better to use if you ever plan to get a FAST intake manifold.

Well the shop doing my cam said 60# injectors might seem like way over kill but better safe then sorry. And they're the ones tuning it so I'm sure they know what they're doing. SNL

If I go that route (ones for 315) I'll save almost 200 buck-a-roos.

If Steve recommended those injectors and Matt is doing the tuning, I would trust them and go with it. SNL rocks.

Wasn't steve but yes I trust them completely. But my wallet says no and I'm going with the other injectors and putting them in myself once I get there.

i dont think youll need 60# injectors bro. 42s will take you to around 450whp without problem, 60s would be needed to do the same on e85. and also, your doing a wet nitrous kit. injectors dont matter in that case cuz its supplying its own fuel. Just a larger fuel pump. but for cam and spray, youlll need a bigger fuel pump anywayz.

Yeah, I'm ordering a 255 for $100 and putting it in myself along with injectors before I get to the shop. Pump when I get it and injectors on the morning I get there.
