The GTO and Camaro drive very, very similar. The Camaro brakes and handles much better though. The Holden influence in the Camaro is very obvious.

One of my favorite car quotes is from Lotus where he said If you want your car to go faster in a straight line give it a bigger engine, if you want your car to be better in every category, acceleration, handling and breaking shed weight. Which is total common sense and I agree with.

That being said I don't like the Camaro b/c of it's weight and terrible visibility, but its wide looking and sits very and has a badass stance, it's a great looking car IMO.

The GTO as amazing as sleek and clean as it looks, I wish it had bit more of a badass character to it's exterior. Like the WS6 maybe. I wish the SAP option was standard on the GTOs, it give it a bit more character. Overall I still like the GTO better b/c of it's superior comfort and 300lbs less than the Camaro.

The New SS needs gears as a Factory option. Seriously 20" wheels, tall trans gearing, tall rear gears & a curb weight close to Rosie O'Donnell, wtf. They should atleast offer 3.73s or 3.91s as a option.

I could be wrong, but aren't the Monaro, GTO, G8, CTS-V and 5th gen Camaro all based on the same chassis? This comparison would be in taking away differences like body panels, interior parts, shocks, brakes, engine, transmission differences, etc... I would think these cars would behave very similarly only to have minor influences based on the factory changes in braking, handling, acceleration, etc...

Sort of like comparing a Camaro to a Firebird or a Chevelle to a Skylark/Cutlass/GTO(Lemans). The comparisons or driving experiences will be similar in these cases due to the behavior of the chassis (which to me dictates the design of the car).
