So you tell me what kind of power you would make on a Dynojet with just Shorties a tune and muffler delets on a A4 GTO which makes less power than a M6???? A Dynojet dyno's around 30whp more than a mustang dyno... FACT....

Ive already posted a graph of a run on a DynoJet from last year and got raked over the coals. There is just no pleasing some people. My numbers are too high for some and too low for others.
The differnce between dyno types MUST be % based not just a standard number. With your thinking I could take a 100hp neon and run it on a Mustang dyno and come out with 130 on a dyno jet? I dont think so.

I dont go do dyno pulls for bragging rights--I had put on headers and wanted to get a tune done. Baseline pulls on the Mustang Dyno were 320/310. And after tuning came out with 338/333. A nice gain of 18/23.
I then backed those numbers up at the track with 12.40's @ 111 mph(which some people still wont believe).
In the end I dont really care what the haters think--some peoples jealousy just shines through at times I guess.

Well if he is on staock tires Im not surprised he cant hook.
I am running 235/60/15 Et Street Drag Radials and have no problem hooking on them. Usually in the 1.8x to 1.9x 60 ft.

What dont you understand... Its not a hard concept, If your car was rated with a 100RWHP from the factory and you tossed it on a Dynojet you should put down 100RWHP give or take a few hp... If you tossed that same 100RWHP Car on a Mustang dyno that Mustang dyno will read somewhere in the 70RWHP Range... Not a hard concept to understand...

I think youre the one who isnt understanding. You are the only person I have heard that is standing by the 30 rwhp difference from dynos on any given car as opposed to a % loss. That Neon would have a 30% loss but a 400 hp car would only be 5% difference?
Anyway--enough on the pointless topic. Its used for tuning and not dick swinging.

Now track times are where its at.

who cares which dyno you go to? Just go to the same one so you can compare your results. If you do a torque converter don't be surprised if you show less horsepower. A4's can do weird things on a dyno

yeah it spins so bad you got to leave the TC on witch i know is not good but it spins so bad you have to. What where your stock times? He wants a tune a CAI and some slps but he dont think he will run 12.9s with them. Did your tune make a big difference it feels like the cars have alot of torque management in them

**** a mustang dyno i rather see what my car is really puting down and see the diffrence on how it REALLY responds to the mods. 12.5 is good for such little hp from a goat it really is. Thats why its so hard to believe but if i seen a all motor civic run a 13 flat than yeah i believe a goat running 12.5 lol. Reason people dont believe it is because they cant run the same time evn with more hp lol so they get mad lol

What makes you think a DynoJet is what you're REALLY putting down? Again dyno numbers are just that and good for quantifying changes in the tune.

Dynojet measure horsepower better to the rear wheels than a mustang dyno its been proven. What your really putting is crank hp is the number one way to measure your engines performance. Thats why all factory cars are measured by their crank hp. But yes rear wheel hp is what everybody wants to see because gives people an idea what your car should run.

Its the truth. Its funny people talk about how much rwhp they put down than when its not alot have to say "oh well its on a mustang dyno". I know that dosent mean what you should run but if your looking for numbers dynojet if just a tune any dyno is good. be nice all gm owners why fight???
