the traction control is to well.... control your traction![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
if the wheels spin the engine power is reduced or cut off to keep the wheels from spinning and make traction.. it only slows the car down when you dont have traction, because like i said, power is reduced to achieve traction..
only time i ever leave traction control on in my impala(yes i know this is the gto section lol) is when it rains or there is wet ground.. other then that its always off for me..
now about the timing, i have no idea if it is changed..

the only time i leave the traction control on is when i forget to turn it off. I would not count on it what so ever as a performance enhancing tool. It won't help launch or hook up. Unless you mind being sideways in the corners I'd never use it. Some cars have pretty sophisticated traction and yaw control systems that do help performance. This is not one of them lol.

this car sucks in the rain for two reasons..
it either wheel hops
traction control kicks in
or wheel hops and traction control is on all at the same time, and you cant do ****.
i need some gforce axles, and then all i have to worry about is the TC.. which i dont mind
