Default Our Quest for the 8s at Englishtown....

Some of you might know that Our car was involved in a catastrophic transmission failure, which turned into a 2000 degree transmission flash fire at the starting line at ETown yesterday morning....

I might not be typing this today if it were not for two people in particular. Once friend who I watched turn into family in front of my burning eyes..and the other being my brother Walt who is already stuck with me as family..and who is also my partner and one I NEVER race without....

The Friend who was already family to begin with..Camaro Al....just further became entrenched in my life thanks to his quick thinking and bravery in running up to me in the car with Walter to let me know that the smurfing car was on fire, got extinguishers and both did their best to get me out of the car...allthewhile risking their own safety and not thinking twice...Bigger Truer HEROS..I have not seen...

As I looked out my left window and the flames were over the roof..I then looked over my right side and saw the same thing...I can only tell you that you don't have time to think of what is happeneing...you need to have a sense of extreme confidence and unfaltering belief that the people you trust and care for are going to see you get out to race another day...I saw that cleary yesterday.

I can never FULLY express my undying gratitude and love of family and friendship to Al and Walter..and those that came running out of their cars to help..(Melissa, Gary, and others...)...But I wanted to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

Last but ceratinly not least...Thank you to my wife Roxanne for NEVER stopping to believe in what I can do and accomplish, daughter Amanda for her never ending love and support, our first time racing guests Michael and Adreas, Doug and Chris from ECS, the crew at QTP and SOOOOO many others who were there and came over and said kind words, made me laugh during a time of much stress....

AND to all of those who not openly said we had the best picture..but also bought it for thier own collection..This one is for you

Glad you are OK.

Better on the starting line than at the end of the track... that oil under the slicks, plus all the aluminum chunks, would have been really bad.

Looks like the trans shield did its job.

This is a good example of the need for billet trans internals.
