The price and the manual tranny is what tickles my fancy... I understand the auto is more consistant on the track, but I mostly drive on the street.. but PRICE really is what sways me to the GTO.. then again, since it depreciates SO MUCH, it kinda tells you something about the resale market for it.. sh.itty..

I haven't read thru the whole thread but coming from Camaros and a GTP I wanted a V8, stick, RWD that was an adult car. I even like the '04 (which I have) better than the LS2 ones because I didn't want a boy racer car but a car this boy could race. No, it doesn't look like a WS6 or a mustang but it is a sleeper which BTW was what the original Pontiac GTO was. Ziggy looks good not wild and surprises the crap out of people when she goes. It's also under the radar with the popo which is a huge plus. I've kept the exterior all stock (except for '06 tail lights) and put my money where it really counts

Yep, bang for the buck acceleration is one area that the GTO (especially the '04) has a long way to go before comparing to an F-body. You can get a 350hp LS1 all day long in an '01-'02 F-body for about 40-50% less initial cost. And the F-body is lighter.
Yes, I'm aware that the GTO has improved ride quality, more luxurious interior, and better rear seat room. I've been in a few of them. If you are looking for a semi-luxury coupe with plenty of *****, then the GTO would be a nice choice. I would have bought a GTO as a daily driver by now if I wasn't so uninspired by the appearance. But it's definitely not king of the bang for the buck LSx category.

I have seen a 06 gto blazen orange on ebay with 117miles still had the white plastic bra, seat covers, floor mate covers, it looked like it just pulled of the shipping truck, it went for 41K 06 seem to be holding the value with extrem low miles my 06 has 9400 miles and still books at 22K

I like the shape of my GTO that’s why I bought it. I own other GM cars such as corvettes and a 02’ B4C camero. To me the shape of the GTO is just as striking as the others in its own way; it just needs rims to finish the car off. If you hate the shape of the GTO you shouldn’t even post here!

[QUOTE=06 6.0 GTO;13734380]Its a bland car yes. But because of this it will age very well (i think so)
WHen i bought mine i knew it wasnt going to get a lot of compliments on the looks, but it did! I was shocked lol
But they can be made to look amazing. Here are some of my faves.
