Thank you.

In hindsight I wish I would have bought black with red leather. I'll buy another 06 someday and that's the combo I'll be looking for.

Exactly... that's just it.. .IT has all the things I want.. except the exterior styling, lol.. guess it DOES look better than any Honda

The price and the manual tranny is what tickles my fancy... I understand the auto is more consistant on the track, but I mostly drive on the street.. but PRICE really is what sways me to the GTO.. then again, since it depreciates SO MUCH, it kinda tells you something about the resale market for it.. sh.itty..

I haven't read thru the whole thread but coming from Camaros and a GTP I wanted a V8, stick, RWD that was an adult car. I even like the '04 (which I have) better than the LS2 ones because I didn't want a boy racer car but a car this boy could race. No, it doesn't look like a WS6 or a mustang but it is a sleeper which BTW was what the original Pontiac GTO was. Ziggy looks good not wild and surprises the crap out of people when she goes. It's also under the radar with the popo which is a huge plus. I've kept the exterior all stock (except for '06 tail lights) and put my money where it really counts

Yes, I'm aware that the GTO has improved ride quality, more luxurious interior, and better rear seat room. I've been in a few of them. If you are looking for a semi-luxury coupe with plenty of *****, then the GTO would be a nice choice. I would have bought a GTO as a daily driver by now if I wasn't so uninspired by the appearance. But it's definitely not king of the bang for the buck LSx category.
I had a 99 WS6 Trans am.. I wasn't inspired by the GTO either,in fact I hated them, then I decided to test drive one because I was bored.. Well, the WS6 is gone, and I have an 05 Yellow Jacket that would beat the **** out of my TA.. In fact you can ask the 00 SS convert I killed with full bolt on's and cam.. I have headers and a tune.. After I hit 3rd ,he gave up.. Goats are faster than you might think.. And the looks really grew on me..I get nothing but compliments.. Would never go back to an old rickety F-body..

Pontiac did not help resale by making the 2005 way better than the 2004, and heavily discounting these cars when they were new sittiing on the lot. I paid 10K less than sticker on my 2006 in March/April of 2007, Brand new.

You can buy a heated seat kit for the GTO here...

The gold one is the concept GTS-R, and the red one is the HRT 427. Both aussie concepts.

I have seen a 06 gto blazen orange on ebay with 117miles still had the white plastic bra, seat covers, floor mate covers, it looked like it just pulled of the shipping truck, it went for 41K 06 seem to be holding the value with extrem low miles my 06 has 9400 miles and still books at 22K
I feel they will come back around if pontiac is no longer, even if pontiac comes back they are only a three year production car, they almost have to

Love mine. The styling grows on you and there is a certain angle that you look at the car and its lines are true perfection.

I like the shape of my GTO that’s why I bought it. I own other GM cars such as corvettes and a 02’ B4C camero. To me the shape of the GTO is just as striking as the others in its own way; it just needs rims to finish the car off. If you hate the shape of the GTO you shouldn’t even post here!

I love the more subtle less aggressive poise, and like mentioned earlier will allow her to age gracefully.

[QUOTE=06 6.0 GTO;13734380]Its a bland car yes. But because of this it will age very well (i think so)
WHen i bought mine i knew it wasnt going to get a lot of compliments on the looks, but it did! I was shocked lol

But they can be made to look amazing. Here are some of my faves.
