Default What Mods should I do? 2004 GTO with Auto

Hey guys! I just got a 2004 GTO With an Auto. What are some good bolt ons and what kind of real power are they good for? I will be happy to put a mild cam and stall converter in. I want those mild though, nothing radical Thanks!!!!!

We would need to know your plans for the car to properly give suggestions.

I have an 04/A4 car myself which is my daily driver. I have a CAI kit, Kooks w/ offroad mids, catback, SLP underdrive pulley, Base Tune. The next step is a Yank SS 3200 ( maybe 3600 ) stall and then a 224/224 cam and Dyno Tune.

The auto's do not have much of a rear wheel hop issue as T56 cars. I personally have no hop at all with stock tires. I know with the above mentioned mods I will need to get some DR's for good track results.

congrats on your new ride and I love mine as a DD

For you really the first thing I would say to do is redo the suspension. I say go lovell sturts and springs or Pedders or BC racing coilovers. Also Change out the RR bushings and strut mounts and bearings. Also look into changing the sway bar links in the front the bushings normally wear out. I only say to do this first because on the GTO this is normally the first things to go

over on the ls1gto site someone is selling a gt2-3 cam. It idles normal but makes some decent power for the size of the cam. I think he's selling everything for 400 cam, springs, and i thought something else. Since your an 04 you could do the coolant bypass mod, 160 stat, suspension is a must or at least dragbags.

Default thanks

Great info guys/gals keep it coming. I want to drive the car once or twice a week "not a daily driver" cruise around with the AC on and go to the drag strip some. I would like to shot for around 450-475 HP if this is feasable with this motor?
