Very nice. I just picked up a 04 gto myself. Love it so far. What are your plans for it? Going to do a ls1 or something a little upgraded?

Not meaning to bust you ***** but I hope you plan on building a Monaro and not a Monero, LOL. Keep us posted with pics, I love seeing the conversion.

Lol typo sorry, but as of now I have the front monero bumper, rear 05/06 bumper....kooks ceramic lt headers x pipe Corsica exhaust....I ended up selling my ls1 and went with a gen 4 6.0 block that was brand new so I'm going with the 402 stroker forged rotating assembly, hopefully I will get some pics up real soon.

In got the build! Can't wait to see the progress! Good choice on motors....I went 6.0 iron block bored and stroked for my 408 and love it. Just to let you know with the extra cubes you can run a lot bigger cam, and the bigger the cam it the higher your compression can be on pump gas

Sounds promising. Have you thought about going the e85 route. You seem to be going all the way with this build so give it some thought if you haven't already. You're going to need a fuel system, injectors, and tune anyways, so why not? Bump the compression and say, "thanks for the extra power!".

well e85 has crossed my mind about a dozen times, and is abundant excpesially in my area in the middle of iowa. And i almost decided to let it go because of money and family problems but after a little persuading the wife i get to keep the car and everything for the build up to this point, i have a lot of stuff for sale and trying to fund the project without taking out of bill money right now or find a better paying job.....i rangled me a set of eagle rods last week bout all thats diff now....i guess time will tell if i can financialy finish it or if i just trade for another roller maybe fbody n finish the 402
