Default Is this a stock color?

Going to check this car out tomorrow and im confused?

Either that isnt the correct color, he has it listed as lava grey. Looks like cyber grey to me.....or the car has been re-sprayed...

Thanks in advance, this will have me check very well for any kind of body damage if it isnt a stock color. Its an 04 5.7

Awesome guys, Thanks.

Im in the market for a new car and this guy wants 10k with only 50,000 miles. The odd thing is its an 04 and has had 3 owners already and then i noticed the color didnt match up with anything i could find online. Im probably going to check it out anyway and see what the reason behind the paint is tonight.

Yeah, i have. Clean title, no accidents no problems. So at this point I'm still going to look at it then out of the blue ask him why it got repainted to catch him off guard. Just gotta make sure all the body aligns correctly. Well see well see

ya could have still been wrecked and just not reported to the insurance. if not reported nothing would ever show up when checking the vin. deff check the body lines. if its not twisted, it could have been repaired properly and will be a fine car for years.

Seems sketchy to me. $10k for a car with only 50k miles that's already had a repaint...am I the only one a little worried about that?

Depending on the condition I'd have no problem with a "wrecked" car. The price seems very good.

I may not have an issue with it either, but I'd like to know about it before buying. I don't appreciate being lied to especially when I'm about to pay $10k for a lie.

That color does look pretty sweet on a goat. Could have been chipping paint and one of the owners decided to respray it. Seems like a good deal to me.

Unless he did a complete frame off restoration of the car, there's bound to be some spots on the car with the original body color. Check in the trunk under the carpet, or in the wheel wells or under the car etc. and you should see the real color.

It's not bad. Check everything over, and look at the door jams too.

I would check for frame damage and get the OEM color from the dealer via VIN

i almost forgot to come back and update. Car was re-sprayed at Macco(sp?) it was a terrible paint job, kid selling the car must have only been 21 or so and got it resprayed because he didnt like red. Paint had orange peel everywhere and all sorts of clips were broken and never replaced.

Overall i decided against it....time to search for another one.

Wise decision. Paint is key in a vehicles value, and to buy something with **** paint already is no bueno unless the car is a steal!!

Agreed. Wise decision. Unless it's so cheap that you can afford to put a new paint job on it and still not have more invested than the worth of the vehicle, it's always best to leave that for some other poor soul.
