Default 04 goat oil cooler solution??

so i went to install my oil cooler today and it was all going good untill i went to install the adaptor to the port above the oil filter housing. the housing buldges out and i cant fit the adaptor to the block, i work with machinist's but every one is still on leave atm and i wanted to get it hooked up as soon as possible, but i thought they might be able to make a spacer for me from the template of the gasket, or should i just bite the bullet and accept that i wasted my money on the adaptor and buy a filter relocation kit and just adjust the hose's i bought today ( $444 in hoses and speed flow fittings FML ) to suit that

I think GTOs are kinda specific when mounting oil cooler adapters. GTOs dont have alot of room, so you kinda need low profile adapters or something specific to the GTO.
Something like this, possibly? ( just a guess)

Applications

All 1997 to present LS-Series engines (Gen III/IV) with rear-sump oil pans including LS1/LS6, LS2, LS3, LS7, L76/L92/L93, LQ4/LQ9, and LSX
NOT suitable for front-sump pans such as Pontiac GTO or Holden/Vauxhall Monaro oil pans

Thanks heaps for that, I all ready wasted my money on an incorrect ls series adaptor I was told would work only to find I was going to now have to fab up some sort of adaptor and hope it sealed properly, that's going to be much simpler

Improved Racing makes good stuff. I have their oil pan trap door baffle drop in. Still trying to decide if I am/should do an oil cooler or just get their adapter to use for my oil sensors I plan on running.

S/C'd Cavy are you the test person for the new oil cooler distribution block? I know not many know about them.

Ya mine is pretty much a drag car but have it setup right now to be able to curve the corners or go down the 1320. Their oil pan baffle is a nice piece just wish the cuts were smoothed and not so sharp. Not sure if I'm going to add in their oil cooler adapter or just use their piece to add in the oil pressure sensor so I don't have to tap the stock piece.
