Default gto as a dd

Does anybody here daily drive their gto? If so how many miles a day or week, what issues have came up as the miles added up?

I daily drive mine. Bought it in april with 5,300 miles on it and I have 8,500 miles on it now. My daily commute from work to home is about 15 miles, 5 days a week. So far no issues. Had to replace sagging rear springs when I put different wheels on though.

DD mine. Mods in sig, 40 miles a day 5 days a week a love it. It is only a summer DD though, have a POS mini van for the snow, but it does see road every day in the summer months. No major issues, just needs new suspension bushings this winter.

my GTO is not a daily driver. But it has been in the past, even with the mods in my sig. She has almost 63k with no major problems so far.

Have daily driven mine for 5 and a half years, from 21k miles to 98k.

The ONLY thing that broke on it's own was the water pump leaking at 46k.

Besides that and regular maintenance (like tires, brakes, shocks) it has been perfect. Now there have been a few bigger issues that I've dealt with, but those were only caused by me and my stupidity trying to mod the car on my own.

I bought 05 A4 in April with 84K on it. I've driven it daily and put 5K on it without a hitch.

Until yesterday...the tranny decided to start shifting hard as hell for no reason.

But yeah, I LOVE IT. Very comfy and you don't see them everywhere

I did about 90 miles a day 4 days a week in mine this past summer, commuting to school. Ran great with no problems. Only issues ive had is an increased amount of body damage from the shitty roads and inconsiderate people in the parking lot...
It makes a great daily. Very comfortable interior and ride, with plenty of power. mine has about 67k on it now, bought it 2.5 years ago with 51k.

Default Dd gto

My 43,000 mile 2005 GTO has been my DD since she left the showroom floor with 7 miles on her. I average about 10 miles a day, give or take a few. The car was virgin stock up until this past July when I finally had my husband upgrade her from stock to beast. Can't stop smiling every time my butt hits the seat now.

IMHO a DD GTO driven that many miles will more than likely end up in the junk yard from wear or accident. A small fender bender is a totaled car. If driven in winter (salt) conditions it will turn to crap sooner. That said it's an awesome car to drive from a ride and decent gas mileage for what it is. FWIW you don't need to replace springs no matter what the condition because of wheels unless the wheels really don't fit right. Stock wheels which fit right can rest on the bump stops without rubbing.
