Default Here Come 'da Judge!!!

Just saw an article in one of those Marlboro magazines, and there was a picture of tha '05 Judge!!!. Looks schweet, w/ram air looking hood and a spoiler(a little too much). Best of all its powered by the ZO6 400H.HP. ls1.
Price tag read 35k. WE'LL HAVE TO SEE!!!.

Gosh, that would seem to contradict that the LS2 will be the new standard engine in 2005. Seems we really don't know what to believe now.

Thanks for sharing.

Probably the above pic i would assume. No one knows what the 05 hood will look like but it'll be traditional twin nostrils. Rear fascia will probably be like the autocross concept with split dual/dual tips with GTO embossed in fascia.

400hp LS2 and 18in wheels probably similar to HSV or the 18 Holden version on the 04 wheel.

I guarantee it'll be all good

I think TriShield said the 2005 Goat will have the rear Fascia and hood of this car:

FWIW I _REALLY_ like the front clip of the above Monaro.

I was visiting my local Pontiac dealer today (6-25-04). We were discussing the rumors of what was upcoming for the 2005 GTO. Well, aparently my dealership claims to know for fact that the pictured "JUDGE" you have here is indeed the version that will be released in 2005. They also went on to say that the Judge was already being manufactured in holden. Though I know none of us will know for sure till it is actually released...I must say, I think G.M. listens and is on the right track with this one.

Holden is the Brand that makes the Monaro and GTO it's not a place.

Also Dealers don't know Jack squat about future models. You're better off getting your future model news from Magazines or the Internet. They're much more informed.

On the GTO boards we have a couple of insiders at Holden, and a couple more really inquisitive car guys from down under. Given the prior information they've given, I can about 99.9% guarantee that they are not making a 'judge' right now. We had word and pics of the LS2 test mule (although it was from the streets so you really couldn't tell the engine, just the split exhaust) about late january or february. No word on any special cars going down the line lately.
Also, Mr. Lutz has been quoted as saying even if they make a high performance version of the GTO he doesn't want to call it the 'Judge' because the target competition wouldn't use that terminology as they use things like 'M-class' and 'AMG' versions.

Bring on the judge...I'll introduce it to the Terminator!

I hope GM really does some re-styling. The interior, motor, and drivetrain rock. They really have to make it more aggressive and less Grand Prix looking.

Ok, by Holden....Dont need to be so picky on typo's....we all make mistakes, I'm sure even you do. Needless to say, the info was also in a publication at the dealer...I think it was called Optimus or Optimum (something like that).
And I dont know about your local dealer,,,But mine had documents to back it up. And if u dont try to correct my bad spelling, I might just put that info on this wbe page.

Im pretty sure that is just a photochopped picture from Motor Trend of what they thought a Judge "could" look like.

FWIW I'm probably the worst speller on LS1Tech, so I would be the last person to correct spelling

I thought your dealer was telling you the GTO was built in a place called "Holden" and that is what I was trying to correct. As for dealers getting news. 99.999% of the time they get news last and find stuff out at the same time as the general enthusiasts.

True that Adam! I agree dealers dont know squat. I will be anxiouly awaiting the "documentation" my dealer promised me. And when (if) I get it, I will post it and see what everyone thinks (i.e./whether its worthy or not). I know a lot of us '04 GTO owners are hoping there will be a 'JUDGE'....or at least a Ram Air hood with a larger or more powerful powerplant. But, with any new car there are always rumors about 'next year'. The good thing is seeing all the enthusiasim (ack! spelling) buzzing around about the GTO. Its good to see muscle cars making a come back...and as long as we keep buying them, hopfully the auto makers will keep building them...bring the fun back to driving an automobile again!

There's nothing official about that picture, it's a magazine's wishful thinking photoshop, and thank goodness that it is.

Yes, that's the 2005 hood and rear bumper.

Monaro parts are super easy to get and install, you just have to have the cash. I'd like to see someone swap that clip on their GTO with a Pontiac arrowhead instead of the lion on the grille, that would be pretty cool.

Old MT concept. MT never gets it right. No JUDGE in the works for 2005. 400HP LS2 standard, not optional. Some appearances changes as mentioned but that's about it. No major overahaul until 2007.
