Jeff, any clue if the current LPE intake will work with 05 GTO's or if their will be changes made for those? (IE: Does it fit the throttle body and such?) I'd be down for one if I know it would. (My 05 should be here about the 16th so it'd be great to have its first mod the same week.)

I know that the 05s will be different, and our system will not work at this point. I don't know what all will have to be changed until we get an 05 in house, and can take a look at it. But as it stands, it will not work.

sincerely,

Jeff

Well good to know before I purchase the 04 unit and find out the hard way. I'd be happy to 'test' one out.

Thumbs up

In Jeff's defense, I was bugging him too about another deal for lower price like their introductory offer. He told me that in a coule weeks that he thought they would be doing that if I wanted to hold off ordering. True to his word, I held off and they have made this new offer similar to the intro offer. So, at least in my case, I can say that he was open in his communications about a better deal coming out if one waited. This exahange took place in December prior to Christmas.

So are you never going to buy another GTO because GM has offered all these incentives lately? Most of the time Sales people don't know when the company is going to put stuff on sale. Sales Specials are usually set by either the owner or the marketing department of most companies. Go ask a car dealer what incentives they are going to have on a car next week and see what answers you get.

I suppose you get pissed at Mcdonalds when they put the Big Mac on sale for 2 for $2 huh? Grow up.

Any plans to offer an intro price special on intake kits for LS2 powered 05's?

CSiJason,

I am sure there will be an special for the LS2 version of the cold air intake, IF it is developed. Hopefully we can use the tube and similar components, and offer something. It will more than likely be a few months down the road though, and I am not sure of the cost......

I spoke breifly the other day with our project engineer, and he said the location of the MAF is different, and some other details as well, but as it stands, it won't work. Hopefully I can get some more details in the coming weeks.
