I have less than 3k miles and the rear brakes are definitely not wearing properly. It looks like the actual contact area of the pad is very small. I'm taking it in next week. You shouldn't need new pads after 7800 miles.

I just swapped my front ones out with C5 front pads. Made a big difference and they have a lot more surface area. About 25-33% more.

C5 Corvette pads. Just order any pads from 1997-2004 corvettes.

Take it to dealer and complain about rear brake squeel . There is a tsb on rear brakes and they will do it for free if you only mention the squeeking noise .

I will tell my Girl to mention that when she brings her 04 in to have the paint fixed on Tuesday. (Clearcoat is bubbling up and peeling in 3 spots!).

I have not heard any brake noise, and she only has 900 miles on the clock. Thanks for the info!!!

Yep, changed mine out when it had about 300 miles. Made a big difference. I'm using the Ceramic AC Delco pads. A lot less dust and more braking, nice

I am getting a squeaking noise from my GTO. How much are the C5 pads and ceramics?

Yeah, but are the replacement pads actually better or will they start squeaking too?
