New GTO 1/4 mile time
I took my goat to the track today to see what it would trun. I knew it was slower than my TA was stock, but I didn't expect this much difference. It ran 14.6 @ 92.6. Now I did try to shift 2-3 manually because I thought it shifted too soon out of 1st, and I hit the rev limiter & had to let off to get it to shift, so it probably would turn 14.5 @ 95. Which is almost exactly what my moms 69 Road Runner ran stock, so I guess it's OK. Just slower than I thought.
Maybe when it gets some miles on it the times will get better (at 500 miles now). The TA really woke up when it hit 5k miles. But hey, it's the wife dd so who cares, right?

No traction problems, & yes I know how to drive, but the car had 450 miles on it + a full tank of gas & I aint a little guy. I figure it may go low 14s when it's broken in, but I was thinking it shold run hi 13s. Maybe I got a dog.....I dunno.

I really hope you work it out man. I fell in love with this car. Made me park my Challenger. I really should not be talking about times.. I have yet to take my goat out to the track.

'04 GTO should be a mid to low 13 sec car. My m6 '04 picked up a lot of power in the butt dyno after a few thousand miles and I was able to run 13.1's multiple times. Maybe it just needs to break in a little. Also the a4 torque mgmt kills your time - you get can that fixed with a tuner.

True, my TA really woke up when it hit 5k miles. And TM is going to go as soon as I add the goat to my HP Tuner. It shifts worse than the TA did stock. And then there is the NW factor. Cars up here just seem to run slower, which doesn't make sense since we are at sea level & have nice cool moist air. The day I ran the DA readings were -266!

LS1 motors have a safety chip in the CPU. It doesn't sound too detrimental percentage wise, but it does make a difference at the track. This is how it goes
Until the car reaches 500 miles you only get 90% of your over all power,
at 1500 miles you get 95% of your over all power, and at 2300 miles you get 100% of you over all power. this is to aid in breaking in the motor, since new cars do not come with special lubeicant to break in the motor like in the old days.
This is what my friends father told me, I guess he works for GM. However I do not know how creditable this statement is. I am just the messenger.
