I'm just curious about what kind of drivers are buying GTOs. So, tell me what you used to drive before the GTO, and what you want to drive when it comes time to get rid of the Goat.
I personally am a five-time 4th gen F-car owner. I've always loved the F-bodies. After their demise, the GTO seemed like the logical place to continue.
So... post up!

In order of ownership
1978 Ford Fairmont
1991 Ford Mustang (4 cylinder
)
1992 Ford Mustang GT
1997 Z28
1999 Corvette
1999 Ford Lightning
2000 Ford Lightning (99 was totaled)
2001 Z06
2003 Impala (What was I thinking
)
2004 GTO
I still have the 2000 Lightning and the GTO.
I would agree with you. I love my Z28 and got a bit emotional when I sold it. However, the Corvette made for a nice consolation.
I haven't thought about what I want to drive after the GTO. I am really enjoying the GTO. I just put an STS turbo on it and can see nothing on the road that I would rather have.

see sig,,prior I have owned over 40 cars in 25 years so it would be a long list. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
I have owned 17 Olds 442s (70-71-71) as that is my favorite all time car...
This is the first Pontiac I have ever owned and since its not really a Pontiac I guess it doesnt count.

Low 12 second Honda. It was over 350whp at 15psi but I pushed the Vortech to 18psi before I tore it back down and sold it all. Never did get any dyno or drag numbers after going to the 18psi setup. I would estimate high 11's and probably close to 400whp at that point. The GTO is way nicer and still just as fun, but it doesnt accelerate quite as insane when passing people. (Man that thing was a rocket on the highway!)

I drove an 85' monte carlo ss that I modified for four years befor I started restoration. I am still driving my 93' s10, and will be puting 475hp 355ci tpi vortec blown and a t56 to hopfully do some road racing with. Now I own an 04' phantom black m6 gto with only 5,000 mile on it. I drive the truck in all but sunny weather. I drive the goat on nice days.

'05 GTO m6
'01 GMC Sierra Ext Cab
'00 Honda Accord 2 door
'68 Chevelle SS396
'93 Nissan Maxima
'93 Ford Ranger
'65 Chevy Truck
'87 Dodge Lancer
Next car? who knows. New camaro when they come out? Definitely something at least as fun as the GTO. I plan to keep the goat a while--hate to think of the resale in a few years (if the horsepower wars continue.)
