Has any one had trouble filling up their gas tank? I just went to fill up,
I needed 14.5 gallons and it only took 11.1. My gauge only showed a little over 3/4 full. I went down the road to the next gas station. I could only get 1.2 gallon more in. This time it showed right at full, but it is not full yet. They have had problems with the Corvette with the two tank set up. I did not know this has two tanks. Does anybody know????

The GTO's has the filler neck entering the fuel cell a bit below the top, so when the fuel covers the neck it doesn't vent the air very well. Most gas pumps sense the pressure change and click off. I've found some are more sensitive than others, and on the really sensitive ones I simply pull back the vapor recovery "sleeve" so it vents to atmosphere.

It filled all the way up to the top of the filler neck, but it was still 4.5 gallons short. I drove it a couple miles stopped at another station and could only get 1.5 gallon more in it. It is still not full yet. I don't drive the car only 1 or 2 a month. highway miles mainly.

mine fills up fine, got an 04' though, but I doubt they're that different if at all

threw in a quick 14.x gallons yesterday, fuel light had just turned on, so there is prolly 2-3 gallons in it anyways

Same problem. Back to dealer. They installed a new tank. Problem solved. It takes gas as fast as you can pump it.

I never had that problem, but I just got it two months ago.
